The two groups say how strongly. Pages using official US figures publish numbers taken from a named authority with a verification date attached, and each of them shows on the page itself when its figures were last checked and by whom: Federal Student Aid for the repayment plans, USDA and FDA for the cooking temperatures, the Bureau of Labor Statistics for inflation. Pages that also cover the US are written for more than one country and treat the US as one of them.
The student loan repayment plan comparison is the one to start with if you have federal loans. Which plans you can choose at all is decided by when your loans were first disbursed and by whether you are about to borrow again, so the tool asks those questions first and then shows only the plans you can actually join. A figure for a plan you are not eligible for is worse than no figure, because a number is what people remember.
It is a short list, and it is meant to grow. It exists because the student loan comparison had no route to anything else on the site written for the same reader.
