Car and personal loan calculators

Car finance and personal loans, worked from the real repayment schedule. Including balloon payments, which behave very differently from a standard loan at the end of the term.

A balloon payment loan keeps your monthly repayments low by leaving a large lump sum due at the end. That is common in Australian car finance and often misunderstood: the low monthly figure is not a saving, it is a deferral, and the final payment has to be found from somewhere.

EMI, or equated monthly instalment, is the standard way loans are quoted across South Asia. The instalment stays the same each month, but the split between interest and principal shifts steadily toward principal as the balance falls.

Student loans are not here. Which repayment plan you can join is decided by statute and by when your loans were disbursed rather than by a repayment formula, so the US comparison sits with the other US tools.
